Wow, what a great weekend. It had all kinds of experiences from pushing my mom in a wheel chair around Crane's roost in a walk-a-thon, to having a reunion with a band I played in 1979! Then came beach day, and the weather was looking iffy, but somehow, it worked out just right and I got a chance to try out my new board, a Jimmy Styks Big Bro'. I had been sitting on the fence between a performance board and a board that could handle just about any size person. I found this board on sale at West Marine in Orlando and what a deal that turned out to be. It's a little narrower, and a little longer than what I'm used to, but it is a tri-fin and I was quickly able to notice the difference in the surf. One thing for sure, it paddles fast and likes to catch waves...I am truly stoked!
